Stopgate openings (high water levels), scouring operations and twilight end times have been added to help when considering making a booking. Check out the Calendar page to see all the details and how you can book the pitch.

At the AGM in May 2016 it was agreed to change the name to Bristol Canoe Polo Pitch.

We have also managed to source a container and agreement from the Harbour Office to store it near the pitch.

First tournament held

Sat 31st May saw the first tournament held at the Brunel Lock pitch, which pitted Aberfan, Avon and two Bristol Canoe Club teams in a battle for the inaugural victory. Congratulations to Aberfan for winning the first tournament!

Avon Canoe Polo Club and Bristol Canoe Club called an AGM on Thursday 22nd May 2014 to found the Canoe Polo Facilities Association.

University of Bristol Canoe Club and University of Bath Canoe Club also attended. Avon and Bristol became senior members and the University canoe clubs became ordinary members.

The Constitution was adopted and the Committee was elected: Chairperson is Dave Ingerslev (Avon); Vice-Chairperson is Mark Gillett (Bristol); Secretary is Simon Smith (Avon); Treasurer is Simon Pearson (Bristol). The Constitution is available in the Association Documents section and the AGM minutes are available in the General Meetings section (members only).

The next AGM will be in late September (so that the AGM dates fit in better with University term dates).
